Our week (25th-29th of September 2023)

This week in Sea Turtles we have had lots of fun! W have enjoyed learning about and celebrating Wai Kru together, and giving flowers to our teachers! We worked hard in our swimming showcase this week to show our parents how much we have learnt about being confident, kicking our legs and moving through the water.  In Talk4Write this week we have been innovating and changing our story using our own ideas! We now have different animals in our story such as a bear, a cat, a hamster and a dolphin! We have also been doing some counting to 5 this week and showing numbers on our fingers. Great learning this week everyone!

 We have had lovely week in nursery! We have been excellent storytellers in our Talk4Write and we are now ready to start changing our story to use our own ideas. Sea Turtles have shown great imagination, and have enjoyed being teachers and doctors this week. We’ve had fun being outside in the gardens and trying new activities such as climbing and water fun! Earlier in the week we had lots of fun at the Cool4School music workshop too, where we learnt new songs and did lots of singing and dancing in the Araya Hall. Well done everyone!

Our week (2nd-6th of October 2023)

  What a fun week we’ve had in Sea Turtles class! This week has been “Science Week” and we have enjoyed conducting experiments, making predictions and observing cool changes such as watching a rocket explode in the science labs and making our own rain cloud and rain in a jar! In Phonics we have started to learn more about sounds that we might begin to see around us in the environment and also in books, and have had fun playing singing games using instruments to develop our listening skills. Finally, we had so much fun meeting and feeding the animals at the farm that visited us - so many children showed excellent bravery and compassion when caring for the animals, it was lovely to see. Well done sea turtles!
